Organizations and community groups across Canada are helping to make a meaningful difference to patients in Canada through the Partners for Life program. As it can often take more than one donor to save a life, Partners for Life brings people together with the common goal of supporting the most vulnerable people in our communities. Together, people unite to help raise awareness, donate blood or plasma, or support the stem cell or organ donation registries.
A single blood donation can make a lifesaving difference to someone in need.
Imagine the impact your organization can have when people work together as a team to support Canada’s Lifeline. Partners for Life member organizations are doing more than just committing to raising awareness and recruiting new donors. Their team’s efforts have a direct impact on patients in Canada and the families who love them.
Four ways to join:
Consider bringing your friends, family or colleagues together for a group donation at one of our donor centres or mobile donation events in your community. By joining the Partners for Life program you can reserve a block of appointments online and invite your team to sign up. In some regions, arrangements can be made for our Lifebus to transport your group to and from our donor centre on the day of your group donation event.
Boost your community presence by adopting a Canadian Blood Services donor centre. Engage your whole team in promotional and recruitment activities to help meet your goal of filling the majority of appointment slots at a donation event.
Annually, your team can rally to set a donation pledge to donate blood, plasma, platelets or stem cells. As part of the Partners for Life program, you can track your team’s progress and communicate with your members. We encourage all organizations and community groups, no matter the size, to set a pledge and celebrate your impact
By joining Canadian Blood Services Partners for Life program as a team champion you agree to act in a manner consistent with Canadian Blood Services’ values and ethical standards. As a volunteer champion, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct, a copy of which will be provided to you as part of onboarding. Canadian Blood Services reserves the right to replace a champion for any reason at any time.
