Board meetings

Our board consists of 13 directors who are elected by Canada’s provincial and territorial Ministers of Health, except Québec. The board's role is to broadly oversee Canadian Blood Services’ management and direction. They meet at least six times per year; two of those meetings are open to the public.

The minutes of each meeting of the board of directors are made public, as are the CEO’s presentation to the board during open board meetings.
