Planned maintenance complete

As of December 12, 2023 our planned maintenance has been successfully completed and all systems are running as expected. Donors can now access our self-serve appointment booking options on blood.ca and the GiveBlood app.

Canadian Blood Services is undertaking planned maintenance to modernize our information technology infrastructure. This necessary work began Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023.  

During this planned maintenance our self-serve appointment booking options for donors on blood.ca may not be available. Some donation appointments may be impacted.  

Donors may book or change their appointment using the GiveBlood app. If they have questions they may email feedback@blood.ca or use the live chat option on blood.ca to connect with an agent between 07:00–23:00 ET.  

Canadian Blood Services will continue to work with our health system partners to ensure that patients receive the products they need during this temporary planned maintenance.
