Great way to give

It was December 2015, and I had just begun the journey as a single mom finding my way with a one-year-old. My job had led me to meet a lot of low-income struggling individuals, and I was so grateful I had support. I really wanted to give back but financially just wasn't able to.

One day I found an ad to give blood. I checked my eligibility and convinced myself that I no longer had a lifetime fear of needles.

I drove to my first appointment on December 19th, 2015, and I cried afterwards. Now 19 donations later I continue my drive to Canadian Blood Services to do my part.

I do it because I can, because my blood type is always in need, and I do it for the sons, daughters, moms, dads, brothers and sisters that will benefit and possibly give life because of my hour of time every three months.

It still moves me 19 donations later. Always proud and willing!

Also the snacks are amazing 🤩
