I can't wait until the next time I can donate

In 2017 I had both hips replaced. What a relief, I needed a blood transfusion and there was blood available. Someone saved my life. And now I am a donor and I never miss an appointment. A simple act prevents a tragedy. How can I not donate? I am forever grateful to my donor. My smile is so big when I walk out of the building after I have donated my blood. I can picture someone’s moment in life where the surgeon will say “I need blood now STAT” and I can see the nurse hooking it up. How/why? Because we all care and we donated. As long as I can, I will, and I encourage others. We all need one another. We are a community, and what a beautiful one it is.
