Sickle Cell Disease Assoc. of Canada

The Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada , SCDAC  established in 2012 provides the national voice to advocate for a comprehensive health care system for those with sickle cell disease (SCD). SCDAC works with governments, researchers, clinicians, and industry to promote identification, diagnosis, research, and advanced care & treatment for Canadians with SCD.  

To support the treatment for SCD, we collaborate with Canadian Blood Services to   encourage blood donation from  diverse communities in order to  increase phenotype-matched blood supply in the blood banks across the country.
