New reports showcase the impact of Partners for Life teams
Every year, Canadian Blood Services publishes a suite of reports on various areas of our work. And Partners for Life teams have made their mark in many of them.
Our 2023–2024 philanthropy report titled Your Gifts, Their Lives, highlights examples of programs, initiatives and research made possible thanks to our financial donors. This includes Partners for Life teams who also choose to complement their biological donations with financial donations.
In addition to the blood and plasma donations made by Initia Real Estate’s Partners for Life team, some of their agents also donate a portion of their commission earnings to Canadian Blood Services. The brokerage also matches some of these donations. Their team’s generosity was featured on page 10 in our latest philanthropy report.
The 2023–2024 annual report titled Momentum helps keep donors and people across Canada informed about their transfusion and transplantation system and how we’re preparing for the future. It also acknowledges the contributions that Partners for Life teams make to keep Canada’s Lifeline strong.
Partners for Life champions and donors, featured throughout the annual report, are helping us advance many areas of our strategic plan. This includes our ability to match products and services to patient and health system needs, as well as growing and diversifying a flexible, sustainable donor and registrant base.
The 2023–2024 sustainability report, titled Building Resilience, reinforces our commitment to advancing social, environmental and governance goals. It also reflects on initiatives we’ve launched to strengthen the long-term resilience of Canadian Blood Services.
This report acknowledges how Partners for Life teams are helping to advance the social dimension of sustainability at Canadian Blood Services. After all, Canada’s Lifeline is sustained by hundreds of thousands of generous people and our Partners for Life teams are vital groups in this effort. Pages 8 and 20 in our latest sustainability report highlight how Partners for Life teams make up about a third of our donor base and through the advocacy of recipients like Gail, helped recruit tens of thousands of new donors last year alone.
