I have donated three times. The reason I want to do it is because I saw how blood, platelet and plasma donations can save peoples lives. My mom needed all of it in 2020. She made it through and is with us still!
The reason I actually do it is because of my brother, he reminds me he has been donating since he was 18. When I think of all the people his blood has helped over the years it is amazing and I thought, I can do some of that too.
The reason I keep going is because the people working there are so kind and sweet and appreciative when I am there. It's a nice addition to my day, and now that there is an automatic way to book my next appointment at the appointment I think I'll keep doing it and might not even need my brother to remind me!
